Webster’s Dictionary defines eye<\/em>, as “an area in the center of a tropical cyclone marked only by light winds or complete calm.”\u00a0 That is what this day is every year.\u00a0 The cyclone of the CTC has been building up with intensity all week, leading to a chaotic weekend of games all over the country.\u00a0 Now, on this Monday, we have a bit of respite, a bit of calm – an “eye,” in the storm, if you will.\u00a0 In years past, this day was just for putting the finishing touches on the first week’s tournaments, but the MAC changed their format this year to include four First Round games on this day.\u00a0 Even so, we still only have 12 games all day, none starting before 7:00.\u00a0 But, like any tropical storm, it is not wise to assume that the calm in the middle means that the storm has passed you by.\u00a0 We haven’t yet seen the true intensity of the 2012 CTC tornado…and it’s only a day or two away.<\/p>\n
