{"id":2791,"date":"2012-03-09T09:49:53","date_gmt":"2012-03-09T13:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.broadstreetbelievers.com\/?p=2791"},"modified":"2012-03-09T09:49:53","modified_gmt":"2012-03-09T13:49:53","slug":"ctc-day-twelve-preview-the-big-xii-semis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/broadstreetbelievers.com\/?p=2791","title":{"rendered":"CTC Day Twelve Preview: The Big XII Semis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While I have often stated that I believe the Big Ten to be far and away the best conference in the nation, top to bottom, but I don&#8217;t think there is any question that the best Final Four of any conference tournament this year will be in Kansas City&#8230;today.<\/p>\n<p>6 games into the 2012 Big XII tournament, and Bry has yet to miss a pick here.\u00a0 But, there is still a lot to be decided, as many other people have only missed one.\u00a0 This is far from over.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">#1 Kansas vs. #4 Baylor<br \/>\n<\/span><\/em>Perry Jones III dropped 31 yesterday, which should be absolutely terrifying for pretty much every other team in the country.\u00a0 If that guy is motivated, this Baylor team has a legit shot to win the NCAA championship, let alone this Big XII championship.\u00a0 But, #1 Kansas has won 9 straight Big XII regular season titles and the lion&#8217;s share of tournament titles, as well.<\/p>\n<p>KA and Lynch both have Baylor here in a really nice upset pick.\u00a0 Lynch has the Bears winning this tournament.\u00a0 Many entries have KU as their Big XII champion.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">#2 Missouri vs. #6 Texas<br \/>\n<\/span><\/em>Texas probably ended all the talk about them missing the tournament this year with a really nice win over a decent Iowa St. team last night.\u00a0 Mizzou blew the doors off of OK State, ending the career of the great Keaton Page.\u00a0 The good news about Mizzou&#8217;s easy victory is that their biggest vulnerability is their depth, so having a relatively easy victory in the first round could come back to really pay off today and tomorrow, if they get there.<\/p>\n<p>Gersh and J have a really big upset pick of Texas still alive in this one today.
