#7 Duquesne 64<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 The defending champs do it again.\u00a0 The Owls took the decision out of the committee&#8217;s hands (which, for the second straight year is probably a very good thing because they had next to no at-large chances) and won the A-10 tournament.\u00a0 This time they disposed of a tough, experienced\u00a0Duquesne team.\u00a0 The Owls are dancing!\u00a0 Only Bry and J picked Temple to win it.\u00a0 Bry takes the 2009 CTC A-10 title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL A-10 STANDINGS:<br \/>\nBry-260<br \/>\nJ-190<br \/>\nStri-130<br \/>\nAlexi-110<br \/>\nIna-80<br \/>\nDoogan-70<br \/>\nLynch-70<br \/>\nWaters-60 (defending champ)<\/p>\n<p><strong><u><!--more-->BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nA thrilling, lived-up-to-the-hype tournament finished up at MSG Saturday night.\u00a0 The last half of basketball was\u00a0a bit anti-climatic, but there are no complaints at all about this tournament.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#1 Louisville 76 &#8211; #6 Syracuse 66<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 When we look back at the 2009 Big East tournament, I don&#8217;t think anyone will remember&#8211;correctly&#8211;who won it.\u00a0 The only thing people will remember is the incredible run by Syracuse, and they might not even remember that they didn&#8217;t end up winning this tournament.\u00a0 Everyone talked about the &#8216;Cuse being &#8220;tired&#8221; in the second half.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s totally true&#8211;this Louisville team is very, very good.\u00a0 Doogan, as the only one that picked Louisville to win this tournament, ended up dominating the 2009 CTC Big East this year, successfully defending his 2008 Big East title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL BIG EAST STANDINGS:<br \/>\nDoogan-275 (defending champ)<br \/>\nIna-180<br \/>\nStri-125<br \/>\nLynch-120<br \/>\nAlexi-110<br \/>\nBry-105<br \/>\nJ-100<br \/>\nWaters-75<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PAC 10 CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nAnother bid thief&#8211;this one comes from the Pac 10.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#6 USC 66 &#8211; #4 Arizona State 63<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 Pop goes yet another bubble, as USC grabs the auto bid from the Pac-10.\u00a0 The Trojans would not have received an at-large.\u00a0 It will be interesting to see what this does to ASU&#8217;s seeding.\u00a0 Watch out for USC in the tournament, depending on their matchup.\u00a0 They are good.\u00a0 No one had USC winning this tournament.\u00a0 Waters missed out on the big win, having ASU in this one.\u00a0 Alexi, therefore, holds on to win the 2009 Pac 10 title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL PAC 10 STANDINGS:<br \/>\nAlexi-210<br \/>\nWaters-160<br \/>\nJ-140<br \/>\nDoogan-120 (defending champ)<br \/>\nStri-100<br \/>\nIna-90<br \/>\nBry-80<br \/>\nLynch-50<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>BIG XII CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nYet another possible bid thief, but this one it snuffed out by a very good Mizzou team.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#3 Missouri 73 &#8211; #9 Baylor 60<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 The Missouri Tigers saved someone&#8217;s season by preventing Baylor from stealing yet another bid.\u00a0 The Big XII still looks good for 6 bids, though.\u00a0 Mizzou is going to be a tough out in the Big Dance.\u00a0 No one had Missouri or Baylor winning this tournament.\u00a0 Lynch hangs on to grab the 2009 Big XII title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL BIG XII STANDINGS:<br \/>\nLynch-140<br \/>\nWaters-120<br \/>\nBry-80 (defending champ)<br \/>\nJ-60<br \/>\nDoogan-50<br \/>\nAlexi-50<br \/>\nIna-40<br \/>\nStri-20<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>ACC SEMIFINALS:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nAn exciting day in Atlanta that couldn&#8217;t go any worse for fans of the Powder Blue.\u00a0 Only Doogan, Bry, and Stri even got one of these right.\u00a0 There are no points left to be earned in the ACC, so this year&#8217;s title is going to go to Doogan.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#4 Florida State 73 &#8211; #1 North Carolina 70<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 Another Goliath goes down in the conference tournament.\u00a0 It has been a rash of pretty major upsets in this second week.\u00a0 FSU was just too big, and Toney Douglas was just too good for a Lawson-less Carolina team.\u00a0 They move on to Sunday&#8217;s championship.\u00a0 Doogan nails this upset pick.\u00a0 Everyone else had UNC.\u00a0 Bry, Ina, J, Stri, Waters, and Lynch all lost their champion.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>#3 Duke 67 &#8211; #7 Maryland 61<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 The Terps will now have an anxious wait on Sunday to see if they get in.\u00a0 The Dukies are playing some good ball at the right time.\u00a0 Even though it wasn&#8217;t a major upset for Duke to reach the finals, only Bry and Stri had it.\u00a0 Waters missed out on a BIG upset pick, as he had Maryland winning this game.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>BIG TEN SEMIFINALS:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nAnother unpredictable finals matchup was cemented on Saturday in Indianapolis.\u00a0 Bry and J were the only two to even get one finalist here in the Big Ten, as the CTC contestants go a combined 2-for-16 in semifinal picks.\u00a0 There are no champion picks left here, either, so Bry can start thinking of where to put the 2009 CTC Big Ten trophy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#5 Ohio State 82 &#8211; #1 Michigan State 70<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 And&#8230;again!\u00a0 Another top team goes down.\u00a0 Does anyone want a #1 seed?\u00a0 If they weren&#8217;t in already, the Buckeyes just stamped their ticket to The Dance, regardless of whether they can complete the Big Ten conference tournament championship.\u00a0 No one had OSU winning this game.\u00a0 Stri has to be the happiest about this result, as he was the only one to not have Michigan St., so his Wisconsin pick didn&#8217;t cost him.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>#3 Purdue 66 &#8211; #2 Illinois 56<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 The Boilermakers look really good right now.\u00a0 They beat up an undermanned Illini team and move on to the finals to face Ohio St.\u00a0 Only J and Bry picked Purdue to make the finals.\u00a0 Alexi had Penn St. and everyone else had Illinois, so they all missed out on this one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>SEC SEMIFINALS:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nThree conference played semifinals on Saturday and all three lost their top seeds, as another unlikely finalist is set up for tomorrow.\u00a0 Only Stri missed both of these picks; everyone else got one.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#3W Mississippi State 67 &#8211; #1W LSU 57<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 Another top team goes down, as MSU is one game away from being another bid thief.\u00a0 These tournaments are just not going well for bubble teams.\u00a0 What will this do to LSU&#8217;s seeding?\u00a0 No one had MSU going this far, but Bry, Doogan, and Waters are glad they did, as they were the only ones to not have LSU here. \u00a0Ina, J, and Waters all lost their champion here.<\/li>\n<li><em><u>#1E Tennessee 94 &#8211; #2W Auburn 85<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 The Vols may be finally playing up to their potential, though they are still not playing ANY defense.\u00a0 Auburn will have a long day on Sunday, wondering if they&#8217;ve done enough (23 wins, 10 in the SEC) to warrant an at-large.\u00a0 Everyone except Stri has this one right.\u00a0 Stri missed out on a nice upset pick in Auburn.\u00a0 Lynch, Alexi, Doogan, and Bry all kept their champion alive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>AMERICA EAST CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nIn a game that started at 11:00&#8211;so that the country could watch&#8211;another ticket was punched in the A-East.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#1 Binghamton 61 &#8211; #6 UMBC 51<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 The Retrievers fall just short in Binghamton, and Jay Greene&#8217;s great career comes to a close for UMBC.\u00a0 Binghamton is making their first trip to the tournament&#8211;much to the delight of famous alum, Tony Kornheiser.\u00a0 Lynch missed out on a big upset pick here, as he had UMBC.\u00a0 Even though the Bearcats were the #1 seed, only Bry and Ina picked them to win this tournament.\u00a0 That, coupled with his belief in UMBC, led Bry to the 2009 CTC America East\u00a0title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL AMERICA EAST STANDINGS:<br \/>\nBry-68<br \/>\nLynch-42<br \/>\nIna-32<br \/>\nAlexi-22 (defending champ)<br \/>\nStri-16<br \/>\nWaters-16<br \/>\nDoogan-12<br \/>\nJ-4<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>CONFERENCE USA CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nConference Memphis gave us no surprises yet again.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#1 Memphis 64 &#8211; #2 Tulsa 39<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 The domination seems to never end in C-USA for the Tigers, as they roll through yet another conference tournament.\u00a0 The best defensive team in the country held Tulsa to 39 points on Saturday, ending the tournament hopes for the Golden Hurricane and saving another bubble from popping.\u00a0 Everyone got this right.\u00a0 Bry takes the 2009 CTC C-USA crown, only missing one game all tournament.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL CONFERENCE USA STANDINGS:<br \/>\nBry-204<br \/>\nDoogan-198<br \/>\nIna-186 (defending champ)<br \/>\nLynch-162<br \/>\nJ-150<br \/>\nAlexi-138<br \/>\nWaters-138<br \/>\nStri-120<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nThe underrated conference is complete, and it may have shot itself in the foot and may only get two bids.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#2 Utah 52 &#8211; #4 San Diego State 50<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 SDSU is now squarely on the bubble and might miss out because of these other tournament results.\u00a0 Utah takes the auto bid from the M-West and should have a pretty decent seeding, entering the tournament.\u00a0 Luke Neville is a beast.\u00a0 Bry, J, and Lynch correctly predicted a Runnin&#8217; Utes title in the M-West.\u00a0 Waters just missed a big upset pick with SDSU winning the title.\u00a0 Lynch gets to hang the 2009 CTC Mountain West championship banner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL MOUNTAIN WEST STANDINGS:<br \/>\nLynch-132<br \/>\nWaters-114<br \/>\nBry-102<br \/>\nJ-102 (defending champ)<br \/>\nIna-78<br \/>\nAlexi-78<br \/>\nWaters-42<br \/>\nJ-30<br \/>\nDoogan-30<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MAC CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nA great MAC tournament ended on Saturday.\u00a0 Those who attended this tournament in Cleveland were not left disappointed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#5 Akron 65 &#8211; #3 Buffalo 53<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 If this were a major conference, no one would be able to stop talking about the amazing run by the Akron Zips through the MAC tournament.\u00a0 But, it is not a major tournament, so I guess it&#8217;s only me talking about it.\u00a0 But, it was amazing.\u00a0 They were totally dead on Wednesday night, in an opening round game against #12 seed Toledo, but they rallied and won at the buzzer in OT.\u00a0 Then, they came from behind to beat #4 Miami (OH) in the quarters.\u00a0 Then they came from behind to beat #1 Bowling Green in the semis.\u00a0 Now, on Saturday, they came from behind yet again to knock off #3 Buffalo and gain the MAC&#8217;s auto bid to The Dance.\u00a0 MADNESS!\u00a0 No one had either of these teams in the final, so Doogan will have to share his title defense with Ina this year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL MAC STANDINGS:<br \/>\nIna-90<br \/>\nDoogan-90 (defending champ)<br \/>\nJ-78<br \/>\nLynch-60<br \/>\nWaters-60<br \/>\nStri-60<br \/>\nBry-60<br \/>\nAlexi-42<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MEAC CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nAs one of the three 1x tournaments that take place on the second week, the MEAC often gets lost in the shuffle.\u00a0 That doesn&#8217;t take anything away from a deserving champion.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><u>#1 Morgan State 83 &#8211; #3 Norfolk State 69<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 Finally, Morgan St. completes their dominant regular season with a dominant conference tournament.\u00a0 Todd Bozeman returns to The Dance after major controversy at Cal, including admitting to paying a player&#8217;s parents $30,000 and being charged with sexual harrassment against a Cal student.\u00a0 But, Bozeman can flat-out coach and has proven it again here at Morgan.\u00a0 Everyone except Doogan and Waters got this one right.\u00a0 Lynch claims the 2009 CTC MEAC title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FINAL MEAC STANDINGS:<br \/>\nLynch-52<br \/>\nStri-46<br \/>\nIna-44<br \/>\nBry-42<br \/>\nJ-40<br \/>\nAlexi-38<br \/>\nWaters-36<br \/>\nDoogan-10<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nThe two dominant SWAC teams got to face off for &#8220;all the marbles&#8221;
