\n<\/span><\/em>If yesterday didn’t break perfectly for CSU to finally get a well-deserved at-large big, then I’m just not paying attention.\u00a0 They did everything you’re supposed to do.\u00a0 They scheduled people, they beat people.\u00a0 They were near the top of a very good conference.\u00a0 They avoided any really bad losses.\u00a0 Their computer numbers are very good, and they should pass the proverbial (and wildly subjective) “eye test.”\u00a0 And, maybe most importantly of all, they didn’t slap the Committee in the face this week by laying an egg for their last impressions (a la Washington, Oregon, Northwestern, Illinois, Mississippi St…).\u00a0 The Rams won their 20th game last night in convincing fashion, by dropping a solid TCU team 81-60 in the MWC quarters.\u00a0 Now, they get a chance to leave no doubt by grabbing another big win against a SDSU team that looked pretty vulnerable last night in their quarterfinal win over #8 Boise St.\u00a0 In fact, they trailed most of the way and needed an amazing shot by Jamaal Franklin at the buzzer.<\/p>\n
\n<\/span><\/em>Other than Ohio St., is there a better #3-seed in the country than UNLV?\u00a0 I don’t think so.\u00a0 But, then again, there aren’t that many #2-seeds as good as New Mexico either.\u00a0 The Lobos hammered Air Force last night, while the Rebels weren’t exactly Runnin’ last night in their win over the methodical and plodding Cowboys of Wyoming.\u00a0 Tonight’s game should be an outright war.<\/p>\n
