LOUIS (2-2)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Rams -2.5<br \/>\nAgain, the short weeks onlly add to the homefield advantage.\u00a0 I am not sure who I would like on a neutral field, but on a short week, at home, I would need a good reason not to take the Rams, and I can&#8217;t find one.\u00a0 <strong>Rams (close)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>Sunday, Early Afternoon<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Miami (2-2) at CINCINNATI (3-1)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Bengals -2.5<br \/>\nMiami is coming back from a West Coast trip, and now they are on the road again.\u00a0 Gimme the Bengals and the points in this one.\u00a0 <strong>Bengals (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><!--more-->Green Bay (4-0) at INDIANAPOLIS (0-3)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Packers -9.5<br \/>\nThe Colts are coming off the bye, but aren&#8217;t good enough to beat the Packers.\u00a0 <strong>Packers (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Baltimore (2-2) at KANSAS CITY (2-2)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Ravens -3<br \/>\nThe Ravens have 10 days to prepare for this one &#8211; and they will need it.\u00a0 This Chiefs team is an up-and-coming team who is very tough at home.\u00a0 But, coming off a big game against the Chargers might be a bit of a letdown, and that extra rest is very much needed for a Ravens team with a tough opening schedule.\u00a0 <strong>Ravens (close)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tennessee (1-3) at MINNESOTA (2-2)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Pick &#8217;em<br \/>\nI think that the better team wins this game, regardless of location.\u00a0 <strong>Titans (close)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Atlanta (2-2) at Washington (0-4)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Falcons -2.5<br \/>\nStill waiting on which of the first two draft picks gets their first W.\u00a0 And, the wait should last yet another week, as the Redskins just don&#8217;t match up &#8211; talentwise &#8211; with this Falcons team.\u00a0 <strong>Falcons (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Cleveland (0-4) at N.Y.GIANTS (3-1)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Giants -8.5<br \/>\nThe upset potential is there in this game.\u00a0 The Browns have 10 days to prepare, while the Giants are coming off of an emotional Sunday Night game with the Eagles.\u00a0 But, if there is any team professional enough to just take care of business in a potential &#8220;trap&#8221; game, it&#8217;s these Giants.\u00a0 Oh, and the Browns just aren&#8217;t very good.\u00a0 <strong>Giants (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Philadelphia (3-1) at PITTSBURGH (3-0)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Steelers -2<br \/>\nThis is a brutal spot for the Birds.\u00a0 Coming off that Sunday Night game with the Giants and having to travel across the state to play a Steelers team coming off of a bye?\u00a0 Brutal.\u00a0 <strong>Steelers (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>Sunday, Late Afternoon<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Seattle (1-3) at CAROLINA (1-3)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Panthers -3.5<br \/>\nFortunately for the &#8216;Hawks, the schedule-makers did give them the late game here in Carolina, but it&#8217;s still a long trip against just one week after a trip to St. Louis.\u00a0 <strong>Panthers (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Chicago (2-2) at JACKSONVILLE (1-3)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Bears -3<br \/>\nThis has the potential to be a real trap game for the Bears.\u00a0 On a short week after playing the Monday Night game and looking ahead to the bye week, I think they might lay an egg here in Jacksonville.\u00a0 <strong>Jaguars (close)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Denver (1-3) at NEW ENGLAND (3-1)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Patriots -7.5<br \/>\nThis schedule just refuses to relent on Peyton Manning, as a trip to Foxborough is not exactly what they were looking for after their first win of the year.\u00a0 <strong>Patriots (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Buffalo (3-1) at SAN FRANCISCO (2-2)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: 49ers -7.5<br \/>\nA letdown after the big game against New England along with a long trip out west will probably result in a long trip back for the Bills.\u00a0 <strong>49ers (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>Sunday Night<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">San Diego (3-1) at NEW ORLEANS (3-1)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Saints -5.5<br \/>\nIn what looks to be a phenomenally entertaining game, it&#8217;s hard to find reasons to pick the road team here in prime time.\u00a0 <strong>Saints (moderate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>Monday Night<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Houston (4-0) at N.Y.JETS (1-3)<\/span> &#8211; Vegas: Texans -1<br \/>\nThe bright lights of New Yo&#8230;Jersey on a Monday Night.\u00a0 The J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets trying to get back to relevancy.\u00a0 The Texans having won their first four, may also be looking ahead next week to a showdown with the Packers.\u00a0 This smells like one of those 13-9 upsets.\u00a0 <strong>Jets (close)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>Standings After Week Five<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NFC EAST:<\/span><br \/>\n<em>The Giants pick up another game on the Eagles, while the &#8216;Skins stay winless with Bob Griffin<\/em><br \/>\n4-1 Giants<br \/>\n3-2 Eagles<br \/>\n2-2 Cowboys<br \/>\n0-5 Redskins<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NFC NORTH:<\/span><br \/>\n<em>Detroit is the only team that doesn&#8217;t drop a full game to the Pack because they were the only team that didn&#8217;t play<br \/>\n<\/em>5-0 Packers<br \/>\n2-2 Lions<br \/>\n2-3 Bears<br \/>\n2-3 Vikings<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NFC SOUTH:<\/span><br \/>\n<em>A 3-0 week for a very good NFC South, so the Bucs drop a half-game to everyone just by not playing<br \/>\n<\/em>4-1 Saints<br \/>\n3-2 Falcons<br \/>\n2-2 Bucs<br \/>\n2-3 Panthers<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NFC WEST:<br \/>\n<\/span><em>A big Thursday Night win for the Rams over Seattle keep them in a tie for first with the Niners<br \/>\n<\/em>3-2 49ers<br \/>\n3-2 Rams<br \/>\n2-3 Cardinals<br \/>\n1-4 Seahawks<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">AFC EAST:<\/span><br \/>\n<em>Just a week after beating the Pats to take the division lead, the Bills piss it right back with a loss in San Fran<br \/>\n<\/em>4-1 Patriots<br \/>\n3-2 Bills<br \/>\n2-3 Dolphins<br \/>\n2-3 Jets<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">AFC NORTH:<\/span><br \/>\n<em>The Big Three in this brutal division all get big wins<br \/>\n<\/em>4-0 Steelers<br \/>\n4-1 Bengals<br \/>\n3-2 Ravens<br \/>\n1-4 Browns<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">AFC SOUTH:<\/span><br \/>\n<em>The Texans actually drop a game to both Jax and Tennessee<br \/>\n<\/em>4-1 Texans<br \/>\n2-3 Jaguars<br \/>\n2-3 Titans<br \/>\n0-4 Colts<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">AFC WEST:<br \/>\n<\/span><em>No one can capitalize on the Chargers loss, as the division goes 0-3 with the Raiders on a bye<br \/>\n<\/em>3-2 Chargers<br \/>\n2-3 Chiefs<br \/>\n1-4 Broncos<br \/>\n0-4 Raiders<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And, we are into October.\u00a0 As the leaves change and the weather cools, the NFL season is only warming up.\u00a0 Can the Packers, Steelers, and Texans stay undefeated?\u00a0 Will either of the top two draft picks get their first win &hellip;
