PS…there is no way that Ricciardi is trying to pull a fast one, right?\u00a0 Just tell me that he’s completely healthy.\u00a0 Let us quickly examine a possible room for pause:<\/p>\n

[late May]:\u00a0 Halladay is the best pitcher in baseball.\u00a0 Ricciardi vehemently denies any thought of trading him, regardless of how far the Blue Jays fall.\u00a0 The owner even comes out and says how important Halladay is to the franchise<\/p>\n

[June 13]:\u00a0 Halladay goes on the DL<\/p>\n

[June 29]:\u00a0 Halladay makes his return from the DL and pitches 6 mediocre innings and loses to the Rays<\/p>\n

[July 4]:\u00a0 Halladay pitches 7 relatively poor innings against the Yankees and gets a no-decision in a Jays loss.<\/p>\n

[July 6]:\u00a0 Ricciardi says he will “entertain offers” on his formerly untouchable pitcher.<\/p>\n
