{"id":5420,"date":"2014-05-08T15:36:55","date_gmt":"2014-05-08T19:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.broadstreetbelievers.com\/?p=5420"},"modified":"2014-05-08T14:56:52","modified_gmt":"2014-05-08T18:56:52","slug":"quick-notes-on-the-draft-tonight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/broadstreetbelievers.com\/?p=5420","title":{"rendered":"Quick Notes on the Draft Tonight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As usual, I had higher ambitions.\u00a0 I wanted to do a better write-up leading into one of the more interesting first rounds in a while, but things got in the way.\u00a0 But, I do have some Eagle-centric thoughts entering tonight&#8217;s draft.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the assumption that Evans doesn&#8217;t fall past #7 (which is almost a given), no one in this draft is worth what it would take to move up to get them<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>I\u00a0like Beckham, but is he really all that much better than Cooks or Lee &#8211; one of whom will be there at #22?\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>They better not waste a pick on Johnny Football (which they won&#8217;t)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>I\u00a0would have NO problem trading down &#8211; even out of the 1st.\u00a0\u00a0I would JUMP at\u00a0a swap of #22 for #33\u00a0from Houston.\u00a0\u00a0I actually looked at the &#8220;draft pick value&#8221; chart\u00a0for Houston to come in to grab #22 to get a QB that they will pass on with Clowney, and they would\u00a0need to give their 2nd, 4th, and 5th (and it still wouldn&#8217;t be enough) &#8211; according to the chart.\u00a0 OR (more likely)&#8230;they give #33 and next year&#8217;s 3rd.\u00a0 Unless Clinton-Dix was on the board, i would JUMP at that.\u00a0 Speaking of Ha-Ha&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Here&#8217;s how\u00a0I would\u00a0rank the guys\u00a0for the Eagles\u00a0who are likely to be available at #22:<br \/>\nA). Clinton-Dix<br \/>\nB). One of the three 2nd-tier WRs (Beckham, Cooks, Lee &#8211; i think in that order, but it sounds very\u00a0close<br \/>\nC).\u00a0Fuller<br \/>\nD). Barr (though, i&#8217;m REALLY uncomfortable.\u00a0 he seems VERY boom or bust, but he does potentially fill a real need)<br \/>\nE).
