CTC Day Five Preview: Remember the Horizon?

In the CTC world, three days is an eternity.  Well, that is how long ago we even thought about the Horizon League, as the Opening Round was Tuesday night, which set up a fantastic quarterfinal doubleheader…and that’s here.

#3 Detroit vs. #6 Youngstown St.
The Titans didn’t look as dominant as they probably should have against a bad Loyola (IL) team, but they got the job done and now they’re here.  Youngstown St., on the other hand, soundly defeated a decent Green Bay team, setting up a pretty solid quarterfinal here for the right to face #2 Cleveland St. in the semis tomorrow.  Only two people (Stri and Teddy) have YSU winning this game in a solid upset pick, but that doesn’t mean that the other 18 of us all have Detroit.  4 people (J, KA, Lil Lohse, and Lynch) have already lost this game, having picked Green Bay here.  A Detroit win here is biggest for Dave, Gross, and Lohse, who all have the Titans cutting down the nets in the Horizon.  Mac, Scoot, and Waters would all like to see it too, as they have Detroit reaching the finals.

#4 UW-Milwaukee vs. #5 Butler
As amazing as the four MVC quarterfinals are today, I think that this game here is the game of the day anywhere in the country.  It should be a war.  Milwaukee took care of business against an overmatched UIC team, while Butler exploded in the second half to actually blow out Wright St. in the Opening Round.  Now, the two meet on Valpo’s home floor for the right to face the host team in the semis.  Doogan has already lost this game with Wright St., but the rest of the field is pretty split on this one.  11 people took UW-Mil, while 8 took Butler (Alexi, Bry, KA, Lohse, Primm, RSmith, Stri, and Waters), so as good of a game as this is, it is also a pretty important one as far as the CTC goes.

  1. You really make it appear so easy along with your presentation but I to find this matter to be
actually something which I think I’d by no means
understand. It sort of feels too complex and very vast for me.
I’m looking ahead to your next put up, I’ll attempt to get the cling of it!

  2. Outstanding post however , I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject?
I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit more.
    Kudos!

  3. Your method of explaining all in this piece of writing is actually fastidious, every one be able to simply know it,
    Thanks a lot.

  4. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the web
the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people think about worries that they plainly do not know about.

You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out
the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

  5. We stumbled over here from a different page and thought I should check things
out. I like what I see so i am just following you. Look forward
to looking at your web page for a second time.
