While VMI didn’t actually win the Big South tournament, they definitely won it for J and Lohse. VMI barely squeeked by 2-16 Radford at home in the Opening Round and then came to Asheville on a mission, beating #2 Coastal Carolina handily and then blowing out Winthrop in the semis. J and Lohse nailed their run and reaped the benefits. KA only hit for 6 points in this one.

And, the Keydets put up a decent fight against top-seeded and tournament hosts, UNC-Asheville, before being overrun by the great Asheville backcourt of Primm and Dickey. The Bulldogs advance to their second straight NCAA tournament and really should have done enough to avoid the First Four this time around. 12 people got this champion correct (Alexi, Bry, Doogan, Gersh, Gross, J, Lil Lohse, Lohse, Rikey, RDoc, RSmith, Stri).
