CTC Day Eight Preview: The Eye of the Storm

Webster’s Dictionary defines eye, as “an area in the center of a tropical cyclone marked only by light winds or complete calm.”  That is what this day is every year.  The cyclone of the CTC has been building up with intensity all week, leading to a chaotic weekend of games all over the country.  Now, on this Monday, we have a bit of respite, a bit of calm – an “eye,” in the storm, if you will.  In years past, this day was just for putting the finishing touches on the first week’s tournaments, but the MAC changed their format this year to include four First Round games on this day.  Even so, we still only have 12 games all day, none starting before 7:00.  But, like any tropical storm, it is not wise to assume that the calm in the middle means that the storm has passed you by.  We haven’t yet seen the true intensity of the 2012 CTC tornado…and it’s only a day or two away.
