After a two-day, four-game quarterfinal round, the Summit is ready for some semifinal action. It has appeared all year that the top two teams were on a collision course for the championship and they are each one game away from fulfilling that destiny.
#1 Oral Roberts vs. #4 W. Illinois
WIU knocked off North Dakota St. last night, giving them the next shot at ruining the ORU Summit League swan song. Well the Golden Griffins were the best team in the league, start to finish this year, they did look rather vulnerable in struggling against #8 IPFW on Saturday, so the Leathernecks have at least a puncher’s chance. Gross is the only one with a big WIU upset pick here. Lynch and Teddy have both lost this game already with NDSU, but the other 17 all have ORU.
#2 South Dakota St. vs. #6 S. Utah
S. Utah’s upset of Oakland last night threw this side of the bracket into a bit of chaos, as a lot of people had Oakand winning this game. No one has SUU here, but a bunch of people have SDSU, including 5 people who have them winning it all (Doogan, Gross, Lynch, Primm, Teddy).
