All week long I have harped on the confusing nature of the SoCon tournament this year. Well, it almost ended with the most confusing result yet, but, on this night of utter MADNESS, the SoCon world was returned to a sense of understanding…eventually.
Lil Lohse put the finishing touches on an impressive conference championship here in the SoCon.
#1 Davidson 93 – #6 W. Carolina 91 (2 OTs)
Man, I wish I had known that the great Dikembe Mutombo’s kid played for W. Carolina – I definitely would have picked them to win a couple of games, I love that guy! (Is it weird to anyone else to see a Mutombo play a wing position – with quickness and athleticism?) Anyway, this was a crazy game, but the better team won in the end, and I would not be happy to draw Davidson in the first round of next week’s tournament (something that we Temple fans actually might have to deal with, depending on how everything goes). 16 people nailed this Davidson pick, with only KA, Mac, Scoot, and Waters missing it.
