CTC Day Twelve Preview: The Great West Semis

N.J.I.T. beat Houston Baptist in, what I’m sure was, a thrilling game in Chicago last night, setting up the Great West’s version of a Final Four.

#1 Utah Valley vs. #4 N.J.I.T.
Utah Valley has proven themselves to be the class of this “conference” in its three years of existence.  They have won the first two tournaments and the first three regular seasons.  But, the past two tournament have been on their home floor.

KA, Lynch, and Waters have the NJIT upset pick; the other 17 have UVU, with most of them picking them to win the tournament.

#2 North Dakota vs. #3 TX-Pan American
It is amazing just how far UTPA has come in just one year.  Last year, they were the 345th (out of 345) team in the RPI.  This year, they earned themselves a first-round bye in their conference tournament.  Okay, that was only a little sarcastic.

Dave, Doogan, and J are the only three that picked UTPA in this mild upset.  The other 17 have UND.
