Ha, interesting thought. I think they should just because I’d love to watch all our hitters striking out on purpose and the pitchers just throwing batting practice fastballs.
In any event, Charlie went with all the regular starters today. Pretty interesting that Rollins is leading off and Victorino hitting 7th. Does that mean that’s his playoff line-up?
I think that, unless Charlie thinks J-Roll is 100%, Victorino will be the leadoff hitter. I’ve heard that Jimmy doesn’t think he could steal a base or beat out an infield hit right now–not good for a leadoff hitter.
So, apparently Charlie is smarter than we are. Without the obvious throwing BP fastballs or even playing back-ups, he decided that he would be secret about it and throw the game by, well, pitching Dannys Baez. Good move, Charlie
