Schilling: Career-Ending Injury?

It appears as if the Boston Globe is reporting that Curt Schilling may have a career-ending injury, or at least an injury that would end his Red Sox career.

Personally, I find this news fantastic.  I have come to utterly despise Curt Schilling and his me-first attitude.  And, even more so, I have come to despise the Boston Red Sox and this would put a bit of a question mark in their rotation, though Clay Buchholz, who will likely take his place in the rotation, did throw a no-hitter last year.

Either way, I just hope we don’t have to sit through too many SportsCenter specials on the career of Curt Schilling.

That would be awesome, and would make Detroit the clear favorite to win the title going into the season.

My favorite part about Schilling is his need to constantly comment on everything going on in the world (often on his blog) as if (1) anyone cares what Curt Schilling thinks about anything; and (2) his opinions are not ridiculous. My personal favorite is when he hand wrote goodbye letter to his teammates after the season, publicized that fact, and then resigned anyway. Kind of makes you think that the blood on the sock was not from his ankle.
