I ask this because from what it looks like, the four wild card teams might be the 4 best teams on the field that weekend. Yes, they will be on the road, but think about the potential matchups. If the season ended today, these would be the four games:
AFC:
Baltimore at Denver
Indianapolis at NY Jets
NFC:
Dallas at Arizona
Tampa Bay at Minnesota
Interesting. Though it’s still probably pretty unlikely that 4 road teams win in one playoff weekend, I at least think that a road sweep is much more likely than a home sweep. I honestly think that, if you ranked all 8 of the above teams, that the wild card teams would be 1-4 and the division winners 5-8.
Yeah, I guess either way it will make for an interesting slate of games.
